THIS IS VIRGILIO. He is an Irish Setter ( mainly) with some spaniel mix).  He was born in Sardinia in May 2016 and trainned for Hunting purposes.  He is neutered.  He was lost during a Hunt in the Hills of Guttura Mannu near Cagliari.  He was found starving by some volunteers, he didn’t have a micro chip.  He went to a local Rescue Centre .  After a year and a half he was stolen  by someone who wanted to resell him to the illegal hunting market.  Volunteers managed to find him, chained up alone on a desolate  farm.  At that point we decided to take him off the Island to prevent any further thefts.  Now he’s safe but needs a home urgently as being alone in a kennel is not good for him, as he was used to being free with other dogs in the previous Shelter.   He is well behaved, has been tested for all the Mediterranean diseases, is fully vaccinated.  Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
